Globeheads Cocktail Hour

  • Green Pig Pub 31 East 400 South Salt Lake City, UT, 84111 United States (map)

The official Behind the Curve afterparty.

What’s a Globehead? Well, you probably are one. It’s what Flat Earth conspiracy theorists call those of us that know the Earth is a globe. On Oct 23rd we will watch Utah Film Center’s screening of Behind the Curve, a documentary that seeks to understand why some people believe the Earth is flat, at the Salt Lake City Public Library Auditorium at 7pm. Then we’ll globetrot over to Science On Tap’s official Globeheads Cocktail Hour at the Green Pig Pub to chat about the film with expert Globeheads in geoscience and science communication. Both events are free. The cocktail hour is 21+ only.

Our expert Globeheads:

Adam Dastrup is Associate Professor of Geosciences at Salt Lake Community College. He teaches courses in geographic science, earth and environmental science, GIS, and drone technology.
